Improved engineering traceability and collaboration. That’s better.

Challenge

The customer’s engineering environment relied on multiple tools operating across different stages of the V-model, with limited interoperability. Product information was dispersed across multiple repositories, forcing teams to rely on manual traceability and data reconciliation. The organization needed a future-ready MBSE framework capable of supporting end-to-end systems engineering, improving collaboration, and ensuring digital continuity.

Solution

We delivered a comprehensive MBSE assessment and developed a strategy roadmap to enhance the customer’s existing systems engineering capabilities in line with future product development goals.

Our experts conducted global workshops to understand the existing process and tool landscape, identify pain points, and establish requirements for a future-ready MBSE environment. This assessment covered engineering workflows across the V-model, including requirements management, systems design, validation, and supporting digital engineering processes.

Working collaboratively with engineering and business stakeholders, we evaluated the maturity of existing systems engineering practices and identified critical gaps impacting traceability, collaboration, and information management. These insights formed the basis of a structured MBSE transformation roadmap.

A key component of the engagement involved benchmarking MBSE technologies from seven leading vendors. We assessed each solution against more than 450 business, technical, and integration requirements to determine the most suitable toolchain for the customer’s future needs.

Based on the findings, Tata Technologies developed a future-state MBSE strategy covering tool selection, deployment planning, integration architecture, and implementation priorities. We also supported proof-of-concept activities for recommended solutions and defined an integration approach capable of establishing end-to-end traceability across the engineering lifecycle.

The engagement provided the customer with a clear path toward MBSE adoption, enabling stronger systems engineering governance, improved collaboration, and enhanced digital continuity. By combining engineering domain expertise with structured technology assessment, Tata Technologies helped establish the foundation for a connected, future-ready engineering ecosystem.
